A direct line from my art table to your inbox—where creativity, connection, and a little chaos collide.

Life has stayed really full over the last couple of weeks since the BB Bash ended. The good kind of full - but still full. I just got back yesterday after spending a week in Oregon. My husband came with me for the first few days and we explored the area together. We had so much fun driving around and really taking everything in. I stayed a few extra days to hang out with my good friend, Andrea. We're also teaching an art retreat together in April, if you'd like to come join us! More details here.

I took the red-eye flight home and I won't be doing that again unless I absolutely have to! 😵 After multiple delays, I felt like a zombie when I finally made it back to Iowa. Yesterday was a blur of grogginess. Thankfully, I feel much more like myself - although I can tell that my energy is still settling after the busyness of the last couple of months.

The 100 Day Project banner

I've enjoyed diving into my 100 Day Project over the last two weeks, more than I ever have in the past. I'm leaning into the flexibility that each day the amount of time and energy I spend can be different. Rather than needing to complete one piece every day, I'm working in a simple, single-signature journal for 10 days at a time. By the end, I'll have 10 journals that I'll combine into one.

My first journal is now complete — I haven't had time to write down everything that I'm learning and noticing so far. That is something that I want to get better at doing as I go along, instead of waiting and thinking I'll remember everything. But my two biggest takeaways so far are:

  1. Layering — being willing to sacrifice something that is "good" for something that is "great"
  2. Flexibility — embracing that my art practice doesn't look the same each day

I want to expand on these thoughts, but for now I have a blog post where I have gathered all of the videos from days 1-10 that I've posted so far. Including 10 short videos, 1 full length process video, the day 10 check-in with Andrea, Crystal, and me. View Days 1-10 Here

Playdate with BB Email Image

I've been missing the community and connection that we had during the BB Bash and realized that I don't want to wait until the BB Art Journals Masterclass 2026 cohort opens to spend time together.

So, over the next couple of months I'll be hosting a few art playdates! The first one is already on the calendar — March 14 at 12pm CDT. Learn more here

This is a chance to connect, share, and simply enjoy making art together. Feel free to bring one of your current works in progress! You can expect an easygoing mix of conversation, creativity, and community.

I will have my desk camera on, so you can see what I'm working on. I don't consider this a "formal" class with a supply list and lesson plan, but I'll talk through my thought process as I create and answer any questions you might have.

Spots are limited — grab your seat here!

Everything on the Joggles website is currently on sale through the weekend—including my foam stamps and stencils.

The full stencil set is temporarily out of stock, but it should be back soon. Individual stencils are still available, and the foam stamps are in stock and ready to ship.

If you've been eyeing anything over there, this is a good time to grab it.
