I'm Setting the Table ...

A direct line from my art table to your inbox—where creativity, connection, and a little chaos collide.

Right now, it feels like I'm setting the table in preparation for guests to arrive. My instincts want to make sure everything is perfect. But it doesn't take long for me to feel anxious, stressed, and overwhelmed.

I remind myself to breathe.
I remind myself to stop applying so much pressure.
I remind myself that the people I want at my table aren't going to care if things are perfect. They are after the same thing that I am - connection.

As I've been working to build my new community space, the BB Collective, I've been cycling through these feelings and reminders. Going from, "it has to be perfect" to "no, it just has to be real and honest."

I've been spending a lot of time in my journal, figuring out what is important for me - not just what I think should be important. I'm not creating this community to impress or seek a certain status. Community, Connection, and Consistency are the pillars that I continue to return to.
