My commitment to taking you along for the journey:

When preparing for the BB Bash, I had so much fun sharing the lead up to the event. The videos that were being filmed and what was going on behind the scenes.

I've been preparing behind the scenes for this year's cohort of my annual 12-week course experience, BB Art Journals Masterclass. And I stopped in my tracks, because I realized I haven't been sharing anything about it with you all!

The 2026 cohort will open for enrollment at the end of May

Perfectionism can be a issue for me in my art practice, I know many of you relate, but it can also be a big hurdle for me in my business. My natural tendency is to work on things privately, agonizing over getting all the tiny details "perfect" before presenting them to the world.

But let's be real, that's exhausting and isolating. It's so much more fun to share our experiences with others - we aren't meant to do all of this alone!

I'm writing this today to help keep myself accountable, committing to sharing this process with you all!

The thought of that kind of makes me giddy right now because... this afternoon I'm going to be doing a variety of different fabric dyeing experiments and I'm so looking forward to it. There's a whole module in the class on fabric dyeing, and it's just one of the sections that's getting refreshed this year.

Quick update on the 100 Day Project

I'm still going strong with my project, and I can't believe we are about to hit day 50 on Sunday! Which also happens to be my birthday 🎉

My project this year is working in simple handmade journals. I work in each one for 10 days, and by the end I'll have 10 journals.

Days 31-40, were a bit of a struggle for me. I wasn't feeling all that motivated and felt constrained. My chat with my pals on day 40 and some additional brainstorming were really helpful for me. I found a way to bring back my excitement and keep things fresh.

I started day 41 by deconstructing my journal, cutting out the binding. I then worked on the loose pages for a couple of days. Binding it back together on day 45. Changing up my approach was just what I needed! I've been posting nearly everyday over on Instagram, if you want to follow along.

Here are some video snippets from days 42-44 →

Days 42, 43, 44/100 2026

Most days I've been recording my process - so the goal will be to eventually make some YouTube videos! Right now it's enough to create everyday and share a little something, so I'm being gentle on myself with the timing. ☺️

Thanks for giving me space in your inbox, I look forward to catching up again next week! 🩷
