Momentum, I think

September 25, 2026

A direct line from my art table to your inbox—where creativity, connection, and a little chaos collide.

Yesterday, it finally happened. I was able to spend more than 15 minutes working in my studio. If you read last week's update, you know that my creative mojo has been low (to put it lightly).

It's not that I wasn't trying to be in the studio and get creative, because I was making myself go down to my studio every day. But nothing was happening. And it was frustrating.

It's hard to talk about depression without feeling like a total bummer to everyone around. Especially when you are still in the depths of it. Which is were I'm at. The depths.

But, I'm hopeful for a turn of events. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours working on a project. The beginning was rough, but after 30 minutes or so, I was able to get into something adjacent to flow.

And it felt so good to make something. And I'm hopeful that I can turn this into momentum and create something today, too.

Some of you may be wondering why I'm sharing this. Something so personal and vulnerable. And it's not because it's fun or comfortable to do so — actually quite the opposite. But it's important.

I'm sharing this for the people who get it. The ones that have been in this place before. I share this to remind us all, that the darkness always fades — eventually.

And to remind you that you aren't alone. 🩷
