Playing with Negative Space + Gold Foil Embellishments
Play Along Journal Series Week 2 Part 1
One of the valuable lessons I’ve learned so far in the Play Along Journal Series is how much power there is in negative space. Not every page has to be overloaded with collages and embellishments to make it breathtaking. It seems easy right? Just stop working on the page when there is still blank space. But let me tell you, this is a skill that takes practice!
Sometimes, allowing the existing elements on the page (like the gold design on the right side of this spread) to shine and incorporating simple touches like metallics or fabric can create a stunning visual impact.
