Add White Distressing to Black Paper
Play Along Journal Series Week 3 Part 1
Finding ways to add light and depth to black, dark pieces, such as the black paper on the right side of this spread can be a challenge. So, using a dry brush, I applied white gesso onto the page, being careful not to cover up the black paper completely. This gave the page a distressed appearance, which I absolutely love!
As the main focal point for this spread I chose to feature one of my favorite art quotes. I like to have quotes printed/typed ahead of time - this ensures that there won’t be interruptions during the creation process. Check out my PDF with various quotes related to art - download for free and use in your own art journaling practice.
