12 is an Odd Number? Using Recycles Textiles for "Odd Number" Prompt - 5 Minute Challenge
5 Minute Art Challenge - Day 12 - Prompt: Odd Number
hosted by: The Ugly Art Club
In this Ugly Art Club's 5 minute challenge, I took on the prompt "odd number" for day 12, and my first thought was, “Day 12 isn’t an odd number!” So I decided that I couldn’t resist the quirkiness of it. As always, I let my creative instincts guide me, and I ended up taking a bit more than 5 minutes to bring my vision to life, so I sped up the video a bit for you, but I'm super excited about how the journal spread turned out.

In this spread, I incorporated some recycled textiles and wooden numbers from the dollar store, adding a bit of dimension and fun to the pages. I also share a special spread in the video, where I talk about using fabric scraps and sewing to create a unique, layered effect. Heading over to my sewing machine, I add some straight lines across, making sure to catch the fabric strips as I go, giving it that kind of messy look. It's all about finding innovative ways to repurpose materials and bring a touch of whimsy to my art.
