No More Climbing On Top of Tables

November 21, 2025

A direct line from my art table to your inbox—where creativity, connection, and a little chaos collide.

Last week, I mentioned that new YouTube videos were coming down the pipeline. I’m sticking to my word with a new video that just went live! Join me as I rearrange my studio bulletin board 🫢🏼

I’ve had this giant cork board (seriously, it’s 4 foot by 6 foot) since shortly after moving into this space. But my vision never totally lined up with reality. I had dreams of using this board as a renewable source of inspiration. A place where I could pin ideas, color swatches, and works in progress. But, up until now, I’ve had tables in front of it. Meaning I would have to climb on top of them to change anything out. That didn’t happen very often πŸ˜‚

As I’ve been settling into my newly refreshed (aka organized-ish) space, this board started calling out to me and I knew it was time to turn it into what I’ve been dreaming about. A living, evolving, adaptable source of inspiration.

In this video, I talk you through my thought process and take you behind the scenes as I arrange a few select, curated pieces to pin on my board. And I’m happy to say, that even though I filmed this video not long ago, it has already started to evolve. Nothing major, just a gentle swapping out of pieces and pinning new ideas.

As artists (as people really) we are not stagnant. We are constantly growing and evolving, and I believe, when possible, our space should be a reflection of that.

Is there one small way that you can make your creative space feel a little bit more like you this weekend?

Are you free the Sunday after Thanksgiving? My friend, Andrea Chebeleu, is hosting her annual class - Creative Practice Journal. This is where she'll show you how to make the journal that she creates in for the upcoming year. It's designed to make it easy to work on an art spread a week - making it the perfect way to establish a more consistent art practice.

I'm planning to participate live on Sunday, November 30th - but don't worry, she offers lifetime replay access so you can refer to it again and again.
