The color rabbit hole
September 11, 2026
A direct line from my art table to your inbox—where creativity, connection, and a little chaos collide.
It's official! I've started filming the first lessons for my upcoming new class, BB Color Play, that I briefly talked about during last week's email. 😍

This class is still taking shape and I'll be filming lessons over the next couple of weeks, but I'm having so much fun already. There's not much that I love more than sharing my love of creativity with others. This is the side of my business that I could do all day, everyday. It's the part that feels like total play (because it kind of is!).
During the first day of filming, I stumbled across a new color scheme that I became obsessed with. A few colors that were on a piece of under paper sent me down a rabbit hole. I can't wait to show you ways to follow that spark and play with color during this class ☆

This process reminded me of the importance of slowing down and noticing. If I had stayed on track like I was "supposed" to do, I would've completely missed out on this breakthrough. And I wonder how often we force ourselves to stick with the plan and it leads us to missing out on the true magic. This was a good reminder this week 🖤

Speaking of slowing down, that is the whole point of the upcoming Making Zen retreat that I'll be teaching at later this month! And it won't just be me. There are 30 presenting artists sharing free workshops over five days, from September 28 - October 2.
It's completely free to sign up for the textile-arts-focused online Making Zen retreat! Each day, new lessons will be released and you'll have 24 hours to watch. There is an option to upgrade your ticket to the VIP experience which unlocks bonus lessons and grants you lifetime access to all of the workshops.

A question that I'll leave you to explore this week — what magic could transpire if you were to slow down and notice, and then letting yourself follow the spark of inspiration?
