Embracing Messiness with Acrylic Ink
Play Along Journal Series Week 4 Part 2
One way I continue exploring new techniques and colors to expand my artistic horizons is by incorporating acrylic ink into my work, which can get messy very quickly in a journal setting.
To keep things in control, I use water generously and embrace the messiness as part of the artistic process. Any excess ink is easily mopped up with a paper towel or repurposed for collage fodder down the road.
This play-along journal challenged me to experiment with boundaries and embrace asymmetry. By allowing shapes and elements to go off the page, I created a sense of intrigue and artistic freedom.
Remember, art is subjective, and everyone has their own style.
Whether you prefer containment or expanding beyond the page, the most important thing is to allow yourself the creative space to explore and discover.
