Creating Dimension with Abstract Watercolors
Play Along Journal Series Week 30
For the longest time, I believed that watercolors had to be used in a very precise and controlled manner. That approach just didn't resonate with me. Instead of letting that hold me back, I decided to experiment and explore a more loose and abstract way of using watercolors. I discovered that this style perfectly aligns with my creativity, allowing the colors to blend and flow naturally on the page.
Don’t let the lack of watercolor paper in your journal stop you from using watercolors! By using different types of paper, you can create varied effects with watercolors. It's all about embracing the unique qualities of each paper and experimenting with how the colors react to them.
As I continue to explore and develop my art journaling style, I find that my personal preferences and creative style evolve. Remember, it's all about finding what speaks to you and adapting it to your unique style of creating.
