Scribble Marks & Organic Vibes
Play Along Journal Series Week 32
I really wanted to create something bold and eye-catching, without it being too complicated or busy. That's where my trusty black gesso comes in. The opacity and quick drying time make it a go-to for me.
In this spread, I decided to switch up the order of things and start with the bold design first, before adding in other elements. I often find myself asking, "What if?" What if we change the order, try different materials, or make things bigger or smaller? These questions can lead to really cool and unexpected results. It's all about thinking creatively and finding solutions to bring our ideas to life.
Adding white marks on the dark black background is one of my favorites. It instantly adds highlights and focal points. I played around with different patterns, using circles as a guide for pinstripes. By not doing the pinstripes in every circle, it created a more balanced and graphic look. And of course, I couldn't resist adding some scribble marks at the end to bring the page together and loosen things up.
