Built-in Mark Making Tools aka Your Fingers!
Play Along Journal Series Week 5 Part 2
I love getting messy in my journals, and there are times that instead of using a paintbrush I will opt to work the paint into a project using my fingers.
The tactile experience allowed me to feel the paint and create an organic effect on the page and I love the variety I achieved by using my fingertips, with each mark looking slightly different. Using my fingers to paint in this journal felt freeing and intentional in my painting, while not overtaking the journal.
One of the many things I enjoy about art journaling is the freedom to experiment with different materials and techniques. I love playing with embellishments and found pieces of torn paper and fabrics. For me, art journaling is deeply about letting your creativity flow and exploring new possibilities. Let your art journal become a playground for your imagination!
