The Magic of Layering Patterns
Play Along Journal Series Week 6 Part 2
I wanted to create some visual interest as I opened up the flap of my art journal. I used a leftover snippet from a master sheet I had created and added a background texture with teal paint. It didn't turn out as I had envisioned, but I quickly improvised by overlaying it with a darker color. This not only created dimension but also tied in the master sheet area with the rest of the spread.
In this journal, I jazz it up with some master sheets and clever tricks and share some favorite ways to use cute little paper clips to add the perfect special touch. I play around with finding the perfect pop of color when working with layers so the page doesn’t become too cluttered.
