Simple Abstract Watercolor & Botanicals

Play Along Journal Series Week 10 Part 1

I’ve decided to experiment with watercolors on some watercolor paper for this journal spread. I may not have any formal training in using watercolors, but that never stops me from diving right in and playing around. It's amazing how abstract backgrounds with different shades of color can create such a stunning effect.

In my experience, I've found that incorporating both complex and simple pages in my journal adds a sense of balance. It's like giving our eyes a moment of rest amidst the bursts of creativity. There truly is no "right" or "wrong" in art journaling, which is what makes it so liberating and captivating. Don't let your knowledge or lack of knowledge keep you from using a supply. Mess around and see how it goes. You never know what kind of results you'll get.
