Last week, I decided to combine our videos into one so that you could easily compare and draw inspiration from how I start with a similar spread and transform it into two different things. This series is all about helping you unleash your creativity and dive deep into your journaling experience.

I totally get how intimidating a blank page can be, believe me. That's why I wanted to take you along for each step of the process and show you how I work in my handmade journal. On the left side of the page, there's a little flip book, giving you extra space to work with. I love making my journals interactive, with flip-outs, tags, and pockets. It's such a joy to explore the pages and discover hidden surprises along the way. In this week's spread, I incorporated some collage elements using washi tape on the right side of the page. I like to think of washi tape as another piece to use in collage, merging it seamlessly with other materials.

For the longest time, I held myself back from owning the title of artist because I believed I had to draw realistically to qualify. But over time, I've realized that art is about so much more than that narrow mindset. Now, I proudly call myself an artist, a maker, a mixed media artist. It's about embracing our own creativity and reframing our minds to accept that we already are artists in our own unique ways.
