Journaling on a Dark Canvas
Play Along Journal Series Week 17 Part 1 & 2
In this Play Along Journal Series, it's all about embracing your instincts and letting your creativity flow without the fear of right or wrong.
In the first part of the video, I worked in my mustard-colored Play Along journal. I had some scraps of fabric left over and decided to incorporate them through hand stitching. It not only added a decorative touch but also helped hold everything together. When you have dark/black pages in your journal, it's important to bring in some light. The contrast between light and dark creates a stunning effect!
Moving on to my Teal Journal, I challenged myself to step out of my comfort zone and introduce more colors. While teal had been dominating this journal so far, I wanted to trust my instincts and explore different hues. This spread reaffirmed the importance of following my creative intuition without resistance. I encourage you to embrace your artistic instincts. Don't be afraid to try new techniques, experiment with contrasting elements, and let your pages speak to you.
