Elevating Your Art with Mixed Media Elements
Play Along Journal Series Week 23
In one spread, I explore the use of circles as inserts in pockets, utilizing a variety of unique papers and shapes. I also emphasize the importance of balance, opting for an asymmetrical design to bring continuity and intrigue to the pages.
In the other spread, I incorporated a striking black and white drawing, transferred onto the page, as a departure from my usual style. Realistic drawing is not something that I feel comfortable in, and it's not really something I'm interested in giving more of my time and energy to, so I feel like this is kind of a great alternative to take an image and transfer it onto your paper, then with your own, artistic hand, the way you scribble your lines or whatever it is to add in on the drawing as I'm tracing over these lines, and I want it to be nice and bold on the page.
